Storyline:
Strange Angel is a drama series based on the book by George Pendle under the same title. It is based on the life of Jack Parsons, mysterious and brilliant rocket engineer, living in Los Angeles 40 years of the twentieth century. He worked for the US government to help with the rocket program, which he regarded as a starting point for future space research. In 1938 Parsons, curious by nature, meets and quickly befriends his new next door neighbor Ernest Donovan, a supporter of the infamous English occultist Aleister Crowley. He seduces him in his way of thinking as well as other principles and practices of his religious movement and Thelema, which include a secret orgies that produce sexual magic and occult rituals meant to establish contact with the other side. When Parsons is slowly becoming a part of this strange, secretive world, his newfound beliefs and lifestyles threaten both his marriage and work.
